VAT invoices and e-invoicing
VAT invoices, receipts and credit notes for 12 African markets
Tell Trackboria your business is registered for VAT and every document you give a buyer shows the tax: the invoice when an order is placed, the receipt when it is paid, and the credit note when money goes back. The VAT is taken out of the price your customer already agreed to, so the amount a rider collects at the door never changes.
Each market charges tax its own way, and the documents follow it. Every order says whether the buyer is a business or a consumer, a sale across a border becomes an export invoice by itself, and the table below sets out what each market's law asks of invoices. Every document records whether it has reached the tax authority, so nothing you hand a buyer claims more than happened. You remain the taxpayer: Trackboria issues your documents, it does not file your VAT return.
The VAT inside every price
Prices on an order are what the customer pays. Trackboria works out the net amount and the tax inside it, line by line, and the totals always add up to the figure on the order.
Each market's own taxes
Ghana's VAT, NHIL and GETFund on three separate lines. Cameroon's VAT with its municipal surcharge. Zero-rated, exempt and out-of-scope items marked as such, so a business buyer can see which lines carried no tax.
Credit notes, never edits
An issued invoice or receipt is never changed. A refund you record produces a credit note by itself, a refund that bounces produces a debit note, and nothing can be credited beyond what was sold.
Business or consumer, on every order
Every order says who is buying. A business buyer's legal name, tax number and billing address go on its invoice, with the tax number checked against its country's format when it is entered. A consumer's receipt stays simple.
At home or across a border, decided for you
Trackboria compares the buyer's country with yours. A sale across a border becomes an export invoice, zero-rated under your market's rule, with no setting to remember.
In the language of the market
Documents are issued in French in Cameroon, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire: every label, tax line, export statement and credit note reason.
Your store and your API too
Orders from Shopify, WooCommerce, a marketplace or your own platform through the API carry the buyer type, and webhooks tell your system when a document's standing with the tax authority changes. Every document records whether it has been transmitted.

Frequently asked questions
Does Trackboria file my VAT return?
No. Your business remains the taxpayer and files its own return. Trackboria issues your invoices, receipts and credit notes with the VAT shown correctly, and keeps them numbered in an unbroken series you can hand to your accountant.
What about e-invoicing?
Where your market's law requires invoices to reach the tax authority's e-invoicing system, transmission is switched on market by market, from the same documents you already issue. Every document records whether it has been transmitted, so you and your buyer always see where it stands.
I am not registered for VAT. What changes?
Nothing. Only a registered business may charge VAT, so your documents show no tax, exactly as before.
What does it cost?
VAT on your invoices, receipts and credit notes is included on every plan, including pay-as-you-go.
